Sundays

You’re invited!

Whether you’re new to the area, looking for a church or just curious about what we do, we’d love you to join us. You will be so welcome.

We have three services on Sundays; Church@9, 1045 and Encounter. They all have their unique flavour and you are welcome at all of them!

Summer Sundays

Over the summer weeks we will be scaling back the number of services we are running on Sundays. This not only gives us a great opportunity to gather everyone together in one service but it also gives our wonderful teams an important rest.

On Sundays 28th July, 11th, 18th and 25th August we will meet for a service at 10am.

On Sunday 4th August we will meet at 11am for a benefice service followed by a B.Y.O picnic as we give thanks for Patches and his ministry here before he and his family follow God’s call to Swindon. We would love for you to join us.

Church@9

Church@9 is a great service for the whole family!  It’s a contemporary service that has a wonderful relaxed, informal feel.

Our desire is that you will be encouraged and uplifted as you encounter God through worship, prayer and teaching from the Bible.

  • We all gather in worship at the start of our service.  After 10-15 minutes there are children’s groups (for ages 3-11) that run alongside the main service so that they can enjoy worship, teaching and craft activities that are fun and engaging for them. This leaves parents/carers free to engage with the rest of the service knowing their children are safely being looked after.

If you are bringing a baby or toddler (age 0-2 years), we have a relaxed play area in the church for you, if you wish to take advantage of it. This is a space for you and your child to freely use at any time during the service and use the available play resources.

We always love having children in our service and we’re not worried if they wander around and make a bit of noise!

The first Sunday of the month is a time of ‘worship for everyone’, where we all stay together in church for a service designed for all ages to engage with and encounter Jesus.

Both before, and after, our service we serve free refreshments in our cafe.  It’s the perfect place to chat and enjoy being the family of God together.

10:45

This service is ideal for anyone who prefers a more traditional style of service. We use liturgy to help us in our worship as well as a range of classic and modern hymns and songs. We love studying God’s Word and are blessed with lots of great preachers and teachers, who help us to apply the teaching to our lives. As well as regular opportunities to share testimonies of how God has been at work in our lives during the week, we also celebrate communion twice a month. Tea and coffee are served in the cafe before the 10:45am service.

Kingdom Come

On the first Sunday of the month at 6.30pm, we have Kingdom Come. Each month is slightly different but there are extended times of worship, waiting on the Holy Spirit, listening to and receiving from God. There are opportunities to share testimonies and explore creativity in worship.

Encounter

Encounter is a relaxed, informal benefice service, held in the Beacon Cafe at 6.30pm on Sundays. On the last Sunday of the month we meet at Hampreston Church. We have an extended time of worship and waiting on the Holy Spirit, followed by some bible teaching, often working our way through different books of the bible. There are opportunities to respond to what God is doing and to pray for each other.
