Who's Who at St Mary's

Martin Howard,
Rector
Martin was appointed Team Rector in March 2008. He and his family moved to St Mary's in September 2006. He worked alongside our previous Rector, Dick Luther, for one year, and held the fort during the vacancy. he previously ministered as Team Vicar in St Andrew's Church, Kinson (near Bournemouth, Dorset) and as Assistant Curate in The Billericay and Little Burstead Team Ministry (near Chelmsford, Essex). He supports Liverpool FC, loves hill walking, and eating out in Bournemouth!

Sarah Pix,
Associate Minister
Sarah moved to Ferndown with her husband Christopher and baby daughter Annabella in August 2009, and started in her role as Associate Minister in December. She spent three years in Britwell, just West of Slough, completing her curacy. Before ordination Sarah worked as a botanist at Kew Gardens where she specialised in the daisy family! She loves spending time with her family, going for walks (although feels that the addition of a dog is required!), growing things (especially food), baking and eating and listening to different types of music from classical to hip hop.

Children's and Families Worker
Mary took up a new role at St Mary's in September 2007, and is responsible for developing the children's and families ministry in church, and through links with the local schools where she takes assemblies.
