The Mens Group

Men's Ministry at St Mary's about engaging with Men who are Christian and men who are not. We are passionate about meeting with men in our community so we can encourage, support and have fun through various blokey activities.

Most events have no Christian theme and are just for fun and friendship.  Activity followed by a beer or 2 is usual.  Past events include: 10-pin, Snooker, Police HQ, Indoor Hot Air Ballooning, Quiz Night, Giant Scalectrix etc.

Apart from the social we are passionate about introducing men to Jesus. We know Jesus was a man who faced many challenges.  Jesus was not the steriotypical image where he looks like he has overdone the readybrek.  He is more Bruce Willis than Bruce Forsyth.  He is interested in all men. Warts and all.  Men like you and me. He wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives, in our families, marriages, work...    Earlier this year we ran a Men's Breakfast.  We had a fry-followed by a chat with Andy Robinson.  Andy was living proof of how Jesus can dramatically transform any life.

If you are a man who lives near Ferndown we would love to hear from you.

>> Reality Check..... Because this is a Men's group, we live on the edge of organisation.  We have lots of ideas and passion and have trouble making it happen.  If help transform into a proper group, please contact Gary Tyler.  Tel 01202 861516. Email me on   <<
