Liquid Refreshment Keeps Men Going!
There’s nothing like a stop at a couple of pubs to motivate a group of men to get on their bikes and do a spot of off-road cycling - just one of the events arranged by the St Mary’s Men’s Group.
Luckily Lance was not setting the pace
Initiated by Gary Tyler as a way for Men from St Mary’s Church and in the Ferndown community to get to know each other better, St Mary’s Men’s Group have just celebrated its first full year of events.
Amongst the activities undertaken have been archery, giant scalextric, walk with pubs, brewery trip, pub skittles, (do you see a theme developing here?) 4x4 with BBQ and an Italian themed quiz night. A few of the events have included a brief talk on a Christian theme for any non-Christian Men who were interested in exploring their faith.
