Sue and Simon Morgan are going with Mission Direct for a 14 day mission to Rukungiri Primary School in South West Uganda. They are now collecting school stationery and basic medical supplies (see Welcome Sheet 22/6/08). Please leave items in box marked 'Mission Direct' at the back of church.
This organisation accepts sewing machines (all types) and manual hand tools in any condition for refurbishment which are sent to third world countries to assist in starting new businesses. If you have any suitable items to give, please contact Tony Hansford via the Parish Office until the 20th July.
Tuesday 1st - Tuesday 15th July work produced by members of our water colour painting group which meets on Tuesday mornings will be displayed in the Parish Hall
MU are collecting items for under privileged families attending their Isle of Wight Holiday this summer. Items required are listed in Welcome Sheet 22/6/08. Please leave donations in the box opposite the sound desk.
Will G8 tackle climate change? There are Tearfund postcards at the back of church to help you pray and act for the G8 Summit in Japan from 7th - 9th July 2008. Contact the Parish Office if there are no postcards left.

Choir Practice
At 7.30pm in the Choir Vestry. Practice will be for the 3.30pm Service of Evening Prayer on 6th July.
5th July
St Leonard's Community Hospital
60th Anniversary of the NHS Open Day. 10am - 4pm. WWII American Military Theme since the hospital was built in 1942 to receive American casualties of the D-Day landings.
5th July
Summer Parish Celebration
7.00pm - 9.00pm. All are welcome to join us. We shall also welcome a special guest, Bishop Isaac Dhieu Aber and his wife from our link Diocese in Yambio, Sudan.
6th July
Children's Festival Service
11.00am Celebrating our younger church members and their families. The service will be followed by a BBQ in the grounds for the children and their families.
8th July
Episcopal Church in the Sudan Partners Conference 2008
Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th July at Salisbury Methodist Church, St Edmund's Church Street, Salisbury. Spaces are still available. Admission £15. If you would like to attend, refer to the Welcome Sheet 29/06/08 for details or contact the Parish Office.

Taming the Tiger
6pm at The Littledown Centre. Tony Anthony, three times former World Kung-Fu Champion and author of best seller "Taming the Tiger" will be sharing his life story. There will be live music from a local band and refreshments. Tickets £3.
